Policy and Strategy
Strengthening innovation impact through policy reform and strategy development
GKI recognizes strong enabling environments, inclusive of national policies and investment strategies, are needed to scale innovative development solutions. GKI works with governments, donor organizations, and other key stakeholders to strengthen science, technology, and innovation (STI) policy and strategy in developing countries. Our goal is to promote enabling environments in which creativity, collaboration, and innovation thrive. Our wide range of support includes working with national governments to conduct external reviews of existing STI policies and advise officials on pro-innovation policy agendas and implementation strategies. In other instances, we help social sector organizations, such as The Rockefeller Foundation, develop strategies to find intervention opportunities aimed at improving the lives of poor and vulnerable people.
