The Global Knowledge Initiative seeks to serve the individuals and institutions of higher education and research, including the 77 US universities and colleges, 107 foreign universities and colleges, and 43 private sector businesses, foundations and non-governmental organizations that attended the Higher Education Summit for Global Development in 2008. Convened by the US Secretary of State, the US Secretary of Education, and the head of the US Agency for International Development, the Summit identified the need for a “clearinghouse for resources and information to help build knowledge partnerships.” We are in the process of reaching out to these and other institutions to determine how our organization can best meet their knowledge partnership needs.
